FABRISonIC USA was formed in 2011 to integrate the intellectual property of EWI, a 501c(3) research organization based in Ohio, and Solidica, a for-profit company based in Michigan. FABRISonIC controls nine patents covering all aspects of UAM. FABRISONIC's first machine, the SonicLayer 7200, was manufactured through Ohio's Third Frontier Technology Development Program prior to 2011. Following the success of the first machine, FABRISonIC developed and manufactured a smaller research platform machine, the SonicLayer R200, and a mid-range production model, the SonicLayer 4000. These machines help reduce lead times for our prototypes and production parts for commercial and government partners.
